Surface Treatment Technology — The "Invisible Armor" of Semiconductor Components

Time:2026-05-19

In semiconductor equipment, the surface treatment quality of components directly affects the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, conductivity, and cleanliness of the final product. Surface treatment may appear to be a "back-end process," but in reality, it is the key to whether semiconductor components can operate stably in extreme process environments over the long term.

Multi-Layer Process Flow, Stringent Control at Every Step

Represented by domestic enterprises such as AMTD, a complete technical system has been built in the surface treatment field, covering physical polishing, sandblasting, chemical cleaning, anodizing, brush plating with nickel, ceramic spraying, Teflon coating, and final cleaning in cleanrooms. Every process is completed in Class 100 or Class 1000 cleanrooms, ensuring products are delivered in an ultra-high cleanliness environment.

Hard Anodized Film Performance Far Exceeds Industry Standards

Taking anodizing as an example, the mixed-acid hard anodizing process delivers a measured breakdown voltage of 4.2KV–4.65KV, significantly surpassing the industry standard of 2.8KV–3.4KV. The single-acid hard anodizing process achieves a measured film thickness of 50μm–52μm with a breakdown voltage exceeding 1.6KV, also outperforming industry benchmarks. SEM observations reveal that the anodized film cross-section is crack-free, adheres closely to the substrate in an amorphous structure, and features a porosity of less than 3% — delivering high hardness, high temperature resistance, and strong acid-alkali corrosion resistance.

Real-Time Monitoring, Full-Process Controllability

In tank solution management, the company monitors key indicators in real time, including pH value, concentration, metal ions, conductivity, and particulate matter, ensuring every step of the cleaning and oxidation processes remains strictly controllable. After each surface treatment process — chemical cleaning, sandblasting, anodizing, brush plating with nickel — corresponding inspection methods are applied to verify quality.

The depth of surface treatment technology determines the service life of semiconductor components in extreme processes. With measured data that surpasses industry standards, Chinese enterprises have already demonstrated hard capability in this "invisible" yet critical domain. AMTD stands as a prime example of this domestic precision manufacturing strength.
